WHAT AND HOW YOU LEARN.

“ Your course has saved me a large percentage of my life- no more a slave to my computer, - more time to shoot and as a  bonus I feel like a member of a team who has been given information freely rather than an outsider who may take away secrets. I am looking forward to more courses”

Steve Barrett.

“I have learnt a lot , not only what you teach, but how you teach’

“ Very enlightening : full of info that I needed: Gave me a better understanding of what I knew:

Will recommend the style of communication and training.”

HOW WE COMPARE

“ Very , very useful.

Been to other courses in other places that were more expensive and involved more time but taught me far less. Finally understand colour and white balance and how to get real colour in my photos.

Very practical ...good communicator and teacher.”

Maree Brockie

“Your workshop made the light bulb in my head shine brighter in my mind. I have done other workshops which gave me part of the picture. Your workshop gave me a more structured work process to follow making my images 10 times better in less time.

Thank you ...you saved me time and money”

Bev Cassidy

“ I’ve learnt things I should have been taught in the others courses I did elsewhere. I has been really inspiring and not too technical. It is about the easy way and the best way to make your images.”

Hanna Hervall.

“I’ve done sixteen week courses elsewhere and was not satisfied with the quality. After two hours with Rod I had many realizations of very basics and how and why they work. He gave me the tools plus what I need to know to make a good photo. Now I can go home and apply these techniques and practice.

I’m inspired”

BUILD ON YOUR KNOWLEDGE BASE.

An excellent introduction to the art and science of photography. The course is very instructive and takes a real hands on approach. The perfect course for getting to know your camera giving you confidence to go out there and start shooting. In a couple of words “ confidence building and inspiring” . What course can I do next ? Many thanks to Rod and Neil .

Rachael  Regan  ( Deciphering Digital student.)

Having been interested in digital photography for many years I wanted to know how things worked.

Deciphering Digital has been extremely worth attending.

Matt  C.

The deciphering digital course was fantastic to an beginner like me.   It got me of Auto setting , which I haven’t used since.     Some info goes over your head but eventually clicks, no pun intended .

Highly recommended to to anyone who lives in the photo world.

“The class was very helpful to me in bridging the understanding of wet film process into the digital processes in camera and in Photoshop. I found the information concise and easy to understand.

Thanks heaps”

Cathy Doran

I have just completed a “portraiture unplugged “ five hour workshop. I was shown how my camera works and how to use it to get perfect results plus informed how to light and pose. It is easy and simple. I will never use my camera again in the old way. The new way is so much better.

Thanks Rod.

WHAT EXPERTS SAY

Imaging and Colour balance course  IMAGE MANAGEMENT

The course was presented at the Kayell Studio to a small group of professional and keen amateur photographers.

The main content was delivered by Rod Pforr a highly experienced professional with a relaxed and entertaining presentation style. A number of the Kayell staff were available to provide extra one on one tutorial assistance when required. Each topic was followed by an open discussion with ample opportunity for questions.

Rod introduced the complex topic of white balance in a clear and informative manner. The class were set a number of exercises to re-enforce key points and confirm their understanding. The course then moved onto the related topic of colour balance using the same format. Rod would value add to the presentation by revealing many tricks and secrets of the trade, sometimes even not directly related to the scheduled topics. Each presentation was closed with a concise

summary of the key points.  References to other sources of information , including  web sites were given.

The course was highly informative, entertaining, and provided solutions to some of the more complex problems encountered in digital photography.

“ I have been searching for a photography  course that will teach me something. I am a marine biologist.  My subjects are all sorts of sea creatures with unknown colours to most people. I have developed a PANTONE colour coding system to  identify the true color of the animal for the scientific community. It was not until I spoke to Rod Pforr at Kayell/RGB  that I found a company with the same attitude to colour as I had. I have done several courses with other so called schools  of photography and art and colleges, however that failed in every way to teach me a foolproof method of learning both how to photograph almost any subjects and get the colour so accurate using Photoshop numbers to standardize the visual misunderstandings.”

I have now the confidence to photograph anything from my dog to a shell and I will obtain true tone and colour.

I have recommend their range of courses to my colleges. I am also looking forward to doing many of their workshops and courses.

These people are truly helpful and will go out of their way to help you understand the art and science of photography”
